Blue and Purple Watermarble

Hi Guys! So I received my order from HB Beauty Bar this week and I thought I would use some of the polishes I ordered! I got several colors from the OPI Color Paints Collection and the Bright’s Collection and today I’m using three polishes from the Color Paints Collection. So let’s get started!

As always start off with a basecoat and apply a layer of silver polish to all of your nails.

To your thumb, index and middle finger apply some scotch tape or liquid latex or any sort of peelable barrier to protect your skin from the polish and make cleanup easier all around your nail.

In a cup of room temperature water drop the blue and purple polishes one drop at a time alternating between the colors (I used around 5 drops per polish) until it creates a bullseye. From the middle of the bullseye using a toothpick or something sharp and thin drag the polish to the side of the mug. Do this on the other side as well. Now drag straight across the bullseye starting at the edge of the mug and alternating direction. When you find a pretty spot that you like, line up your nail to the surface and dunk them in. Be sure to clean the surface from polish before pulling your fingers out of the water. (Forgot to take a picture of this hence the thorough explanation)

Clean up around you fingers by removing the tape (or whatever you decided to use) and a brush dipped in acetone.

On your ring and pinky finger apply some masking tape to one half of the nail and secure it so no polish will leak through later.

On a sponge apply the blue and silver polish, slightly overlapping and dab it onto the nail to make a gradient, do the same thing but with purple polish instead of blue on the other nail.

Remove the tape and on the edge between the gradient and regular silver, place some silver studs in a straight line!

Apply topcoat and you’re done!

    1. Thank you!😙 well just be sure that the water is room temperature fom a bottle or if your tap water is alteady filtered and test the polishes beforehand if they spread well in the water and together! And you will have to work fast since the polish dries pretty quickly so a good ruel is to start dragging about 2 rings in to prevent the design from tearing!😊

      1. Ok! I didn’t use filtered water last time, so I’ll definitely try that out!! Thanks so much😚
